Adding a Category to the Navbar

Adds a direct link to a category in the navigation bar at the top of every page.

The navbar is visible on every page of your site. Adding a category there gives visitors a one-click path to it from anywhere.

  1. In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the category you want to add to the navbar.
  2. Find the Navbar toggle and turn it on.
  3. Click Save.

Limit navbar links to your three or four most important sections. A crowded navbar is harder to navigate than a focused one.

Visibility

Control what appears on your homepage, navbar, footer, and in search.

Adding a Category to the Footer

Adds a link to a category in the footer at the bottom of every page.

The footer is a low-prominence but reliable place for links visitors look for after reading your main content. Legal pages, contact pages, and supplementary sections belong here rather than in the navbar.

  1. In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the category you want to add to the footer.
  2. Find the Footer toggle and turn it on.
  3. Click Save.

Keep the navbar and footer distinct. The navbar is for high-priority navigation. The footer is for secondary links.
