Adding a Category to the Navbar
Adds a direct link to a category in the navigation bar at the top of every page.
The navbar is visible on every page of your site. Adding a category there gives visitors a one-click path to it from anywhere.
- In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the category you want to add to the navbar.
- Find the Navbar toggle and turn it on.
- Click Save.
Limit navbar links to your three or four most important sections. A crowded navbar is harder to navigate than a focused one.
Visibility
Control what appears on your homepage, navbar, footer, and in search.
Adding a Category to the Footer
Adds a link to a category in the footer at the bottom of every page.
The footer is a low-prominence but reliable place for links visitors look for after reading your main content. Legal pages, contact pages, and supplementary sections belong here rather than in the navbar.
- In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the category you want to add to the footer.
- Find the Footer toggle and turn it on.
- Click Save.
Keep the navbar and footer distinct. The navbar is for high-priority navigation. The footer is for secondary links.
