Publishing and Unpublishing an Item

The master switch that controls whether an item is visible to visitors.

Publishing is the master switch for any piece of content. Turning it off removes the item from every part of your site instantly without deleting it.

  1. In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the section containing the item.
  2. Find the item in the content manager.
  3. Toggle the Published switch off to hide the item, or on to make it visible.
  4. Click Save.

Unpublishing a category hides the entire section and all items inside it. If you only want to hide one item, make sure you are toggling the published switch on that item specifically.

Content

Create categories, add items, edit copy, attach images and icons, reorder, and delete.

Deleting an Item

Permanently removes a content item and all its sub-items from your site.

Deletion is permanent. Understanding the difference between deleting and unpublishing helps you choose the right action and avoid losing content you might need later.

  1. In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the section containing the item.
  2. Find the item in the content manager.
  3. Open the item and click Delete.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

If you want to remove something from public view without losing it, use the Published toggle instead. Unpublishing hides the item while keeping it intact.

Visibility

Control what appears on your homepage, navbar, footer, and in search.

Featuring and Unfeaturing an Item

Controls whether an item appears in the homepage summary for its category.

Your homepage shows a highlights reel for each category. Only featured items appear in it. The category page always shows everything published.

  1. In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the section containing the item.
  2. Find the item in the content manager.
  3. Toggle the Featured switch off to remove it from the homepage, or on to include it.
  4. Click Save.

If no items are featured, the category section on the homepage shows with no content inside it. Keep at least one item featured per category.

Hiding a Category from the Homepage

Removes a category from the homepage while keeping its page and URL active.

Not every category needs to be a featured section on your homepage. Legal pages, internal notes, and supplementary content need to exist and be reachable but do not belong in your main homepage flow.

  1. In Edit Mode, click the pencil icon on the category you want to hide from the homepage.
  2. Find the Meta toggle and turn it on.
  3. Click Save.

Meta is not the same as Unpublished. Unpublishing a category hides it completely, including its URL. Meta only hides it from the homepage. The page itself stays live.
